Global Relay of Observatories Watching Transients Happen

GROWTH is an international collaboration among astronomers who pool resources to study astrophysical transient sources. Our key science goals are to study the electromagnetic counterparts to gravitational wave sources, young supernovae, and near earth asteroids. You can learn more at the GROWTH collaboration website.

GROWTH India Telescope

GROWTH-India is a collaboration between the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru (PI: G. C. Anupama) and IIT Bombay (PI: Varun Bhalerao). As a part of this collaboration, we have set up the highly successful GROWTH-India Telescope: India's first fully robotic telescope. GROWTH Winter School

December 2018, IIT Bombay

We hosted an international school in Time Domain Astrophysics at IIT Bombay in December 2018. The school had about sixty participants who got hands-on training in time domain data analysis from some of the best instructors around the world. High-quality lecture recordings, along with all the python notebooks used by the instructors along with detailed instructions are available online for everyone. Dive in!
